Soccer IQ is a player’s ability to understand and influence the game through awareness, scanning, anticipation, positioning, timing, and decision-making. It shows up in how quickly a player recognizes space, reads pressure, predicts teammates’ and opponents’ movements, and chooses an effective action. Strong soccer IQ connects tactical understanding with the technical execution needed in real game moments.
