Frequently Asked Questions

Should a 12 year old do strength and conditioning for soccer?

Yes, age-appropriate strength and conditioning can support a 12-year-old soccer player when it emphasizes movement quality, balance, coordination, mobility, and bodyweight control. Training should be supervised by a qualified professional and progress gradually rather than focusing on heavy lifting. It should complement soccer development, recovery, sleep, and nutrition—not replace technical training, game understanding, or enjoyment of the sport.
